Apple-filled Kouign-Amann

$21.00

Flaky, crisp, sweet, and a little bit salty, Kouign-Amann (pronounced ‘queen-a-mahn’) was created in the Brittany region of France and means “butter cake” in the Breton language. It is made from laminated dough that is folded with sugar and a bit of coarse salt before being baked to a deep golden hue while the sugar and butter combine at the bottom of the pan to create a sticky caramelized bottom.

The addition of spiced apple elevates this decadent pastry to new heights. Every bite is an explosion of flavor and texture.

Ingredients: Bread flour, butter, apple, granulated sugar, filtered water, active dry yeast, cinnamon, nutmeg, kosher salt

One half-dozen.
